This is a must stay bed & breakfast! The chef prepared a delicious gourmet meal for us and our friends. The owners Brett and Sheila treat you like your their best friends visiting their home. My wife and I spent Valentines Day weekend and had a phenominal time. We will return for many years to come .

Brett, Sheila, and Browy are fantastic hosts! They served us a delicious home style breakfast before hitting the beach over memorial weekend. The architecture of the place is exceptional as well. I'm from Santa Barbara area so I felt right at home with the Spanish style feel to the house. Next NSB visit I am definitely making it a priority to stay in their luxury bay front suite! If I could give more stars, I totally would! This Bed & Breakfast was such an amazing experience for my family and I. I tried gator for the first time (with grits) and it was pretty good. The rooms were phenomenal, the bathroom was gorgeous, the docks, the EVERYTHING. And of course, most importantly, the service was amazing. The owners cherish their guests and value the impression that they leave on them. If you are staying in New Smyrna beach for even a day, make sure you exprience this beautiful city with Black Dolphin. It will be an experience you will never forget!

The Black Dolphin Inn exceeded all of my expectations and I am an extremely picky person so that says a lot!!! The rooms are spacious, spotless, gorgeous and charming. The grounds are beautiful. The people are lovely and SO helpful and the breakfast....oh the delectable breakfast....SO GOOD!!!! I could have written a yelp review on the food alone. If we ever need to stay in the Daytona area again, we will no doubt be staying at the Black Dolphin Inn.

My brother had his wedding here and the entire party stayed for two nights. Wow, it was gorgeous, warm and welcoming and spacious. The owners were really friendly and accommodating and made the stay lovely. The rooms are gorgeous! I love the jets in the tub! :) My husband and I absolutely loved it, it was a great getaway from our normal NYC life. OH and if you need to pick up last minute things, shops are only a 10-15 min drive away. Would love to come back again.

As soon as you pull up, you will notice this isn't your normal B&B. The house is impeccably decorated and you feel relaxed as soon as you pull up to the driveway. We met the first member of the family, Taylor, who was really friendly and steered us to the perfect lunch place. My mother and step-dad were traveling with us and Taylor was able to move their assigned room closer to our room. Speaking of our room, we rented the Bayfront Suite-- which can only be described as amazing! It was so spacious that it felt like a small apt. We really didn't want to leave. My parents room was nice, as well, but no comparison to the suite! Throughout the stay, we met Brett (one of the owners), and his wife, Sheila. Both were so delightful and almost had an uncanny way of being there when you had a question, but never intrusive. It felt like you had the run of the place even though there were other guests staying there. The highlight of the stay was Brett and Sheila's daughter, MacKenzie's cooking! She is the chef of the Black Dolphin Inn and an amazing cook! On the weekends, they offer 5 different options to eat (not the norm at B&Bs) and on Sunday, I made it my mission to taste every option, making my family all order different plates. They were all amazing! I knew we were in for a treat when proud dad, Brett, encouraged us to read the write up in the local magazines on his daughter. It was adorable. Thank you again, Black Dolphin Inn, for making us feel part of the family for the weekend! We will be seeing you soon!

This is a 5 star place. You ever go to a place and feel like you are a tier below the place? That is this place. We felt as if we were just guests at a perfect overnight stop. My wife and I went here on a Thursday and spent the day in New Smyrna Beach before/after the night. The night was absolutely wonderful. I have only one gripe with the place. First is that they market it as a bed and breakfast. It is technically. Due to the luxury of the setup and the secure, safe way it is setup, it is more of an intimate hotel with only a few rooms. Whatever, the room was amazing, the food was amazing, and the hosts knew the city and restaurants in the area and had perfect recommendations. If we had more time, they had great suggestions for fishing and boating in the area. At the end of a great day, this place is a perfect stop. The breakfast was amazing and the view was second to none.

Sweet, sweet family run this place and the service is beyond your expectations. I'm vegan and they whipped up scrambled tofu, grain bread, fermented cabbage and mango w a smile. The rooms are so gorgeous you won't want to leave. They allow pets and have a small courtyard for for human and pet socializing. I'm a fan.

Beautiful boutique hotel/B&B. This place oozes charm! Room 201 was clean and beautiful and breakfast the next morning was delicious. My only regret is that we didn't book a 2nd night!

My wife surprised me for my birthday and took me to a surprise get away. Boy, was it a wonderful surprise. I've been to many B&B s but never expected anything that would wow me as much as this. You enter the front door to a cozy modern snd tasteful sitting and eating area. The attention to detail was the theme throughout the weekend whether it was at the breakfast nook or the little card that covers up the illumination on the phone so it won't disturb your sleep. The staff, from the owner Brett to his son Taylor and Patty, who keeps everything clean and neat, strive to make you feel comfortable and at home. We were lucky to have Brett's daughter, Mckenzie come down from New York to help create culinary wonders for our breakfasts. What an incredible talented chef she is.The unusual and tasty breakfasts were "to die for". The best ever. The rooms were exceptional as well. Leave your pillows at home as they were no less comfortable than those you find at the Ritz (we were informed that they were the exact same ones). I have not stopped bragging about this place since we got home. Oops, may not be a great thing as we want to ensure that there is enough room for us on our return.

Brett and the crew at Black Dolphin Inn know what it is about! The customer service is unparalleled and will certainly turn the inn into a regular destination for us and others. My wife and I are staying 3 nights on a short business trip. We were hoping for a small, sleepy town off the beaten tourist path. The inn is newly renovated, has immaculate grounds and great views. Thanks for making our stay amazing and we are only half way through!!!

This is a must stay place ! Finding a place that caters to you like this is far and few between. You are served a wonderful breakfast and good conversation if you want it. Everyone involved at this Inn has been so nice to get to know and I'm so looking forward to returning ! You don't have to wonder about clean rooms and good beds-- it's by far the best I've stayed at.!

This is a wonderful B&B. The location is great, the staff (owners and hired staff) are awesome and the Sunday breakfast is incredible. One of, if not the best B&B I have stayed at and very pet friendly.

Beautiful! Sitting on the private dock you can watch the dolphins and manatees. The rooms all have private, luxurious bathrooms and the beds are amazingly comfortable. The owners are gracious and welcoming. It is located in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from the beach.

Stayed here for the 24 hours of daytona. Super nice bed and breakfast. The staff is awesome and very friendly. The distance to the track is not far at all. Will be staying here again.

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. Kudos to the husband and wife team who brought the Black Dolphin Inn to the sleepy town of Smyrna Beach. I only have wonderful things to say about my stay here. This hotel is an absolute gem, with its carefully chosen décor and private chef who comes in daily to prepare breakfast. Each room is its own unique retreat (without being super tacky and over themed). Think W goes bed and breakfast. If you are looking to enjoy contemporary comforts while slipping away into the quiet of a tucked away Florida town, this is the place for you.

This black dolphin inn is charming and has a wonderfull mix of old florida with modern comfort ,very comfortable king size beds,the staff is very accommodating and informative .The room are well appointed ,with river view , with my girl friend we just love this place, and I can t wait to take another weekend at black dolphin inn
